For applications which call for extraordinary reliability under extreme conditions, the Hustler HX Series of antennas are recommended. The HX Series antennas are suitable for use in extreme environments, remote locations, or tall tower installations. Dual versions of the HX Series antennas are also  available upon request. HX Series antennas are available for applications from 136 MHz. to 1.2 GHz.

ELECTRICAL
Our Offset Radiator  (O.S.R.) design features phased 1/2 wave copper radiators which yield precise radiation angle control and very wide bandwidth. All O.S.R. materials are made of copper to minimize the possibility of intermodulation.  Heavy duty radiating  elements and feed system allows a maximum power of 600 watts.  Lightning protection is provided by a brass lightning prong at the top, which is connected to a 0.25" diameter copper tube running the length of the antenna for grounding to your support structure.

MECHANICAL
A 2.375" diameter white extruded fiberglass  radome is combined with at 28" long heavy wall (0.219") aluminum base. This structural combination provides stable vertical rigidity even in high winds.  Wind survival is at least 150 mph. Weatherproofing is accomplished though the use of a sealed type N female connector. Removable drain plugs and O-rings allow proper drainage of internal condensation whether in the upright or inverted position.

MOUNTING
Professional quality galvanized steel mounting clamps are provided.  The rigid design of the clamps prevent ratcheting or twisting of the antenna in high winds. The clams accept mounting pipes from 1.5" to 3.25" in diameter, or angle members up to 2.5" per  side.
